Baxter learns about prejudice when he and Pickles misinterpret a report that a baby kangaroo or wallaby has escaped from the zoo. When, Joey, the escapee, comes bouncing through Baxter's yard, Pickles and Baxter have already formed a club that doesn't allow Kangawallaroobies. Having no idea Joey is the kangawallaroobie, Baxter invites Joey to join the club. Through Grandpaw's animated story "Bird's of a Feather", they learn that being afraid of someone or something just because of differences is wrong; and that love, not what we look like is what counts.
